books
I picked up some books on my weekly visit to the library, and am hoping that I can finish them in the allotted time I was given. Here are the books I checked out:A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin - This is a book that I have read before, but the author is coming out with a new one in this series, and I have to go back and re-read the first three before getting the new one. The book is a work of fiction and it centers around different families who are either vying for power or trying to stay alive. The author is an excellent writer and I read somewhere that this series was a fictional off-shoot of The War of the Roses. Overall, a great book.
It's Not Easy Being Green and Other Things to Consider by Jim Henson and friends - I am a big muppets fan, and when I saw this book, which is more of a collection of witty sayings and quotes, I had to sit down and read it. It looks interesting, but I haven't read all the quotes yet, so we'll see.
Jarhead by Anthony Swofford - I saw the preview for the movie with the same name the other day, and when I was at the library I noticed it on the shelves by chance. I want to try to read this before the movie comes out, to get a better understanding of what the movie may be like.

pick up the original version of Peter and Wendy (j.m.barrie) sometime. much wittier and funnier than any version of play or movie.

woah the muppet thing sounds amazing =) I am so sad, I read SOOO much over the summer (as you know) and I have yet to finish one of those books I got that one day at the store.... college life. Bleh.
Smokers oughtn't eat too many carrots. Beta Carotene helps cause cancer.
